Dr. Serguei Tchessalov is an owner of SN Lyophilization, consulting company in the area of freeze-drying and drug product development.

He received his Ph.D. from Institute of Applied Biochemistry (Moscow) on development of novel methods for formulation and process control during lyophilization. He completed his Postdoctoral training with Prof. Pikal (UCONN) and had successful career at Immunex, Wyeth and Pfizer.  For the past 40 years (both, in Russia and US) Dr.Tchessalov has been working on formulation and lyophilization process development of bacterial, viral and mRNA-based vaccines, proteins and different biological materials. Dr. Tchessalov produced more than 30 research papers in the area of lyophilization.  His current research is focused on lyophilization process scale up and transfer as well as processing of parenteral dosage forms (filtration, filling, freezing/thawing and etc).
